I was inspired to become a celebrant after attending too many weddings where the ceremony felt bland, boring, and unrelated to the couple getting hitched. My aim is to flip the script and make every Love Hunter Wedding completely unique (and a little bit funny).

As well as being a celebrant, I’m also a comedian, creator, and TV producer—most recently working as Head Writer on Network Ten’s The Project, where I was in charge of all the comedy and entertainment content. These jobs have trained me as a sharp and emotive writer and given me the skills to turn your love story into a bloody good show.

I always tell couples that there’s no better crowd than a wedding ceremony. The love in the room is off the scale, and my aim, as celebrant, is to elevate that love with a bespoke ceremony that will have people talking for years to come.

We Meet
Our initial meeting is to chat about your wedding plans and answer any questions you have about the matrimonial process. Are you looking for a traditional ceremony or something a little kooky? It’s good to get on the same page from the jump so we can create the perfect ceremony together.
I’ll also quiz you about your love story like you’re on a TV chat show, so I have all the ingredients to cook up a charming retelling for your loved ones.

We Edit
I’ll write a draft of the full ceremony for your feedback. Here’s your chance to tell me to rein it in or ramp it up! You’ll have full creative control over the final script. Once that’s locked, it’s time to start thinking about your vows. I’ll be standing by to assist and will review both sets of vows to make sure they match in tone, length, and style.

We Party
Shortly before the wedding, we’ll have a rundown meeting to double-check all the final details. On the big day, I’ll be at the venue early to make sure everything is in order and to set up the audio equipment.

FAQ
When should we book you?
The sooner, the better! Legal paperwork must be lodged at least one month before the ceremony, so that’s your hard deadline. I like working under pressure though—so if you’re reading this and have been completely disorganised up to this point, I’m your man.
How does the meeting work?
Our first meeting is a chance for me to learn about your history, the kind of ceremony you envision, and to see if we vibe. Then, I’ll write a full script and send it to you for feedback. The ceremony is all about you, so I want to make sure you’re happy with everything (and to find out if your mother-in-law can take a joke!).
Do you travel?
Yes, I love to! I’ll go anywhere, as long as you’re able to cover travel costs. Travel is included for locations within 40km of Melbourne’s CBD. I have standard travel rates for all the classic destinations, and anything more unique will just need a bespoke travel quote.
Do you recycle your ceremonies?
Absolutely not. I was inspired to become a celebrant after attending weddings where it was clear the ceremony had nothing to do with the couple—and had probably been used a million times before. Every ceremony I write centres around the couple’s love story, ensuring each one is completely unique.
Do you help with writing vows?
Absolutely. I’m here to inspire or help edit your vows if needed. I’ll also review both sets beforehand to make sure they’re similar in tone and length—because nothing kills the vibe like one partner going heartfelt and the other doing a roast.
